One Small Place
A forest island in Cascadia
The Many Faces of one Small Place
on one Big Planet
Washington State, Cascadia
Near my home is a narrow greenbelt, rich in wildlife and verdant vegetation, that winds through my suburban world. At most it is a few thousand feet long and and a couple hundred feet wide. I’ve walked the path hundreds of times – alone, with adults, children, pets and the spirits of the past – and through different seasons and storms. Each time I seems to find something new, in a place so small you would have thought there was nothing left to find. This blog is just a place to share the many facets, mysteries, inhabitants, and moods of this one, very small place in Cascadia.
